Do Parents Have an Issue Paying a Daycare Provider when she has a sick day or vacation?

I don’t think that is unreasonble. I have paid my daycare provider for sick days. It’s just part of the deal…everyone gets sick eventually. I could put my children in a day care center and not have to worry about sick days because they have extra people to cover for sick employees, but the daycare centers cost about twice as much and the teacher/child ratio is much higher than an in-home day care. So, paying for sick days really is a bargain when you think about it. I think some parents forget that day care providers are running a business and that just like an employee for any other business, they depend on a paycheck every week. Good luck!
