Many people believe that they have witnessed strange occurrences while watching horror films. Some believe that there is an opening caused between the realm of the living, and the realm of the dead when a horror movie is watched. Is this true, or is it just a heightened sensation of fear? There are many simple things that go on in our houses everyday. When the house settles, the looser boards will creak. The pipes will transfer air, and moan or clank. The air or heat will come on, and make noise. The wind will blow and shake the windows, or a tree will tap or brush the house. We will catch a distortion of colors in our peripheral vision. Old lines that hold up paintings will tear over time, and cause whatever is hanging to fall. These are mundane occurrences that happen in almost all of our houses over time, but we usually do not think about them.
