I have struggled with ovarian cysts my whole life. Recently being the worst of times, I had to have my left ovary removed. Anyway, I never did feel pregnany symptoms with my cysts. Just severe pain in my side and abdomen. She probably wanted you to take a test because she was concerned that it could possibly be an ectopic pregnancy (where you get pregnant in your fallopian tubes, which is extremly dangerous.). But I would not worry about it since the test came back negative. Just keep a check on your symptoms, and if you feel anything unusual or painful, head straight for your OBGYN.
