Do Osteopaths study at University?
Osteopathic education in Australia consists of a five-year university programme, involving a 3year Bachelor of Applied Science, focused on anatomy, physiology, neurology, orthopedics, patho-physiology, diagnosis, research studies, and Osteopathic philosophy and medicine. This is followed by a 2 year Masters of Osteopathy, that involves advanced studies in the above sciences, supervised clinical work, and the researching and completion of a thesis.
