Do opticians honor outside prescriptions?

Yes, Pres. Bush passed a law that they have to honor any outside rx. The doctor that you get your exam from has to legally give you a rx for the glasses/contacts (whichever you paid for) for free. Then you are free to go anywhere to the rx filled. The insurance place just means that they can provide the service of getting contacts at that location, but you are not binded to buy from that doctors office. They just put that on the site b/c some people prefer not to drive all over town trying to get the exam and contacts.
