Do off-road vehicles generally have better suspension than on-road vehicles?
Not to argue with a Lv 33 guru, but IMHO: Suspensions are designed for different applications. argueably an F-1 racing suspension is one of the most expensive in the world, and one of the best. but it is worthless off road, or even on a city street that has not been groomed as a raceway. Flip side of the same coin; an expensive off road suspension professionally installed is great for what it’s designed for, but worthless on a track, or pointless on a city street. The question comes down to what you want to do, and where you will do most of your driving. Offroad suspensions are generally better designed than standard production suspensions. the added clearance however makes some of them unsuitable for “normal driving”.
