Do obese people Eat More Fat than thinner people?
Here is the crux. And the answer is Yes. Obese people eat a higher proportion of fat than thinner people. The evidence for this comes in part from the Bolton-Smith and Woodward study, and from other studies (Blundell and MacDiarmid 1997) which indicate that those who derived more than 45% of their energy from fat were nineteen times more likely to be obese than those who derived less than 35% of their energy from fat.
