Do nVIDIA drivers work with XFS?
Yes, the nVIDIA drivers work fine on XFS systems. Be sure to use the 1.0-1251 release or later of the nVIDIA linux drivers. These are known to work starting from 2.4.0-test5 and later. The FAQ maintainer (me) uses these nVIDIA drivers on his own XFS system so you will get notice which version does not work. The drivers can be found at http://www.nvidia.com/ Note that filesystem corruption/crashes might happen when using these drivers. Yes they work, but they are not supported. If your system crashes and you have these drivers loaded we can NOT help you. Complain to nVIDIA about the problems they are causing. That said, if you have problems with these drivers loaded try using the opensource nv driver instead and see if your problem magically dissapears. If you are using the 1.0 release of XFS I suggest disabling devfs.
