Do nuns wear wedding rings?
Well, the rings are not exactly like “wedding rings” for a husband and wife. Some (not all) orders of nuns wear a gold band (or made of another material such as silver, etc.) as a symbol of their fidelity and betrothal (marriage of sorts) to the Church and to God. The ring may be given when the nun professes vows at her first profession or at her final profession. There are a number of customs regarding the wearing of a ring, for nuns as well as monks.
