I don’t know what a nor’easter is, but in the northern hemisphere areas of low pressure rotate anti-clockwise and areas of high pressure rotate clockwise. They rotate in opposite directions in the southern hemisphere. So if you know whether a nor’easter is high or low pressure you will know the answer.
