Do non-team members need to register as official team member and submit their credentials?
We’ve received quite a few questions regarding who from each group needs to register as an official team member. Please note that the competition and paddock area are open to the public. If you plan to bring a sponsor, additional faculty members, parents or students who are NOT planning to participate in the event (a.k.a. spectators), they do not need to register, submit their proof of insurance or sign a release from liability form. However, all students and faculty members that plan to work on the car and/or participate in the event MUST register as official team members, and therefore, will be required to submit their proof of insurance and a signed waiver.
