Do non-residents need to submit a letter of certification with a paper application?
We will check the PDB (Producer DataBase) for license information on non-resident paper applications. if the license information is listed for your domicile state, we will not require a letter of certification. NOTE : if you are applying for a Variable line and your state does not list this line of authority, please send CRD report or list CRD number on application or add-lines form. if your state does not show Surplus Lines on the PDB, please send certification that you are licensed for Surplus Lines in your state.
