Non-native speakers of English must have graduated from a non-U.S. high school in order to receive extra time on the test or have proof of taking the GED in Spanish, or the TOEFL, or MELAB for proof of English proficiency. READING (RTPI 0000R) ABAC International students whose first language is not English take the Regents’ Reading Test and are allowed double time. The student must register for this section of the test when registering for classes. The day before the test, students are to confirm their registration in the Office of Student Success. A picture ID is required. ESSAY (RTPI 0000E) ABAC International students whose first language is not English will write a parallel Regents’ Essay.
