Do NHS patients have a choice about whether they have their operation at the Centre or at another NHS hospital?
Yes. Choice is one of the central themes in the NHS – providing patients with the ability to have a greater say in their care. The Independent Sector Treatment Centre programme contributes to this process by offering patients options. No patient should have to wait longer than three months for an initial outpatient appointment or longer than six months for required treatment.
