Do new immigrants to the UK know what life was like for our ancestors?
I very much doubt it, when you answer’s like “Ring of Uranus” who’s only concern is the present day suffering of other people’s from around the world, but what has that got to do with suffering of our ancestors who themselves were little more than slaves to the rich mill and landowners. OK Britain’s past is not great big bed of roses, but then again or Britain did was to survive and prosper like any other country of that time, to blame all of the worlds woes on Britain and to credit all of our great institutions like the NHS on the poorest two thirds of the world is both wrong and a disgrace to the people in Britain past who both fought and battled so that we may get the benefit.
