Do Nevada State residents get preference?
Yes, the University of Nevada, Las Vegas is a State School, therefore preference is given to residents of the State of Nevada. However, this does not imply that Nevada residents receive automatic acceptance. Admission to Physical Therapy Programs is fairly competitive and all completed applications are processed. Consequently, several out-of-state students receive admission into the Program. Nevada residency of graduate students is in accordance with the regulations of the Board of Regents and the laws of the State of Nevada. A full statement of the regulations is available in the Graduate College.
