Do neighboring school systems provide instruction on condom use?
A. MCPS contacted similar size school systems in the Baltimore-Washington metropolitan area and found that four school systems (Howard, Prince Georges, District of Columbia, and Baltimore City) provide instruction on condom use and use commercially produced videos that illustrate proper condom use. The information in the commercially produced videos is similar to what is included in the MCPS produced video, but the commercially produced videos discuss other methods of contraception as well and they do not have as great an emphasis on abstinence as the MCPS video.
