Do N.European designed wind turbines work as well in S.Hemisphere.Does coriolis effect influence performance?
No matter which way the wind blows, the electricity will still flow. The difference in the Coriolis Effect between the two hemispheres is the direction that it flows. Since the wind turbines are anchored to the ground and rotate to the direction of the wind, they work the same where ever they are. Of course some local areas are windier than others but that is not due to the Coriolis Effect.
