Do my neighbours have a right to object to what is proposed in my Building Regulations application?

No. There is no requirement in the Building Regulations to consult neighbours (although it would be courteous for you to do so). If you are undertaking work to which the provisions of the Party Wall Act 1996 will apply you must notify neighbours in accordance with the Act. A guidance document on the Act is available from our administration team on 01442 228587 or by emailing building.control@dacorum.gov.uk. Further information is also available visiting our Helpful Hints section.
