Do my clients need to create a BoxCloud account?
No. We wanted to make it dead-simple to share and dead-simple simple to view files. When you first share a file with someone, we create a private, self-expiring alias link to the file which is sent to your client over email. The alias link is good for 7 days and does not require your client to login or create an account. We chose to expire the link so as not to keep an open link to your desktop for too long. If your client needs to access the file after that time, they simply need to create a free BoxCloud account. They’ll then be able to see all files you share with them in one place and also be able to filter, sort, search and upload files directly to your desktop.
