FOR TWO weeks, Lisa Guthrie watched from the windows at the back of her Mill Valley home as the trees and a fence along Hillside Avenue above her property appeared to sink into the ground. Her husband inspected the area – after being alerted by the city that it “is something you might want to look at” – and took photos of what Lisa said was soil seeping from un-der the road toward their home at 70 Bolsa Ave. It was then she realized the sinking fence and trees were, in fact, slowly slipping in their direction.
