Do most people vote based on what candidates say they will do if elected or are their other considerations?
I don’t know about most people, but I base my final decision on the platform of each candidate. The platforms are my major deciding point, but I also pay attention to their demeanor, speech, and their ability to handle pressure. I want to know that whoever sits in the Oval Office is going to have a level head when it comes to a crisis in the nation or overseas. That person has to have the ability to multi-task and be able to think while hitting the ground running. At one point, I also looked at their experience in public office, but sometimes an inexperience candidate has a better view of how to handle things and they haven’t had the chance to be completely jaded by Washington nor do they have a lot of lobbyists in their back pockets. When I am deciding who I am voting for, I do a lot of research on the candidate, their record, how their proposed platform will affect me, my children, and people in my same position. If I hear something derogatory about a candidate, then I do fact checki
