Do most people start dating in high school or in middle school?
First you have to define dating. Dating, as I define it, is going out together to enjoy a movie, dinner, or other mutually rewarding activity. “Hanging out” as it is done in middle school does not (in my opinion) constitute dating, but it is more of a ‘getting to know you’ process that young people go through. I know that my answer is an opinionated one, but hopefully you will find it helpful in some way.
Based on my experience, most people start dating in the early years of high school, but perhaps that is because I live in a rural area (we don’t have middle schools, but I assume we’re speaking of grade 7 and 8 students) and the class sizes are rather small, so there aren’t really that many people your own age at your school until you graduate and go to high school (which is considerably bigger).
