Do most deaf or hard of hearing people that lip read use cued speech?

No. Very few Deaf or hard-of-hearing people are taught Cued Speech. There are only a handful of schools that use it, and almost no Deaf adults continue to use it after they are done with school. It’s virtually impossible to find a Cued Speech transliterator in most places. Therefore, as kids who’ve learned it turn older, they either learn sign language or communicate through lip-reading or written communication. It’s no good for any kind of social life for Deaf adults either since no one else knows it outside of possibly the program they went to as children.
