Do mosses have very small flowers?

No, mosses are not flowering plants. They are of the phylum Bryophyta, and reproduce through alternating generations of gametophytes and sporophytes. Gametophytes are probably the generation you are familiar with: the carpet-like green form. These will produce sperm and egg, which unite to form the sporophyte generation. Sometimes you will see a tall structure coming out of the green, leafy “carpet” of gametophytes. This is the sporophyte. When this taller sporophyte structure dries out, a capsule at the end of the structure releases spores, which can spread by wind. The spores can germinated to form another carpet of gametophytes.
