Unfortunately, yes. Migraine headaches appear to be hereditary, with a full eighty percent of migraine sufferers having a family history of the headaches. In a situation in which one parent has migraine headaches, the child has a roughly fifty percent chance of experiencing them as well. In cases where both parents are migraine sufferers, the child has a seventy-five percent chance of becoming afflicted with the problem.
