Yes, memberships can expire. Every so often we check to see which accounts are inactive for long periods of time. If these are webspace accounts that have remained unused for several months they are first converted back to email only accounts. If email accounts remain unused/unchecked, and all manners of contacting the account holder fail, we delete the account.
