A.Yes, you must be an active employee which means you must have worked in covered scholarship employment for at least 4,000 hours in the 5 calendar years ending the December 31 prior to the September for which the scholarship is to be first awarded and worked for at least 600 hours in each of at least 4 of those 5 calendar years; or worked in covered scholarship employment for at least 6,000 hours in the 7 calendar years ending the December 31 prior to the September for which the scholarship is to be first awarded and worked for at least 500 hours in each of at least 5 of those 7 calendar years.
