Do members have to use the money for their Health Savings Accounts?

0

My HSA Rewards was created to help individuals save for their own and their family’s health care. We strongly encourage members to use the money they’ve earned toward their health care. However, money transferred from My HSA Rewards into our members’ Health Savings Accounts is theirs. They may choose to withdraw the money from their Health Savings Account (HSA) for other purposes besides qualified medical expenses if they wish. However, doing so will subject their withdrawals to government taxes and penalties (not unlike early withdrawals of funds from an IRA).
