Do matching gifts count toward participant fundraising totals?
Yes, in most cases the corporate matching gift is counted towards an individual’s fundraising total. The challenge is that most companies mail the actual donations many months later so the amount raised isn’t credited immediately.
I’d recommend checking out the company called Double the Donation. It offers the ability to search a database of companies that offer employee matching gift programs. If you’re a nonprofit, you can setup a custom website for your organization so all your donors can easily access the information.

Yes. Once the matching gift form has been processed by the Race, it will be posted on the “My Progress” page of your Participant Center , under “Donation History.” The donation type will be listed as “offline unconfirmed.” At this point, the amount of the matching gift will count toward the participant’s fundraising total.
