Do many light skinned Indians hate black people?
I have lived in India and there is a definite colour conciousness there.Light skinned Indians think they are better looking and the darker skinned Indians have a complex about their colour as beauty and good looks are based on colour and colour alone. You may have the best features possible and be black abut you will not be considered good looking. If you have a pale coloured skin with green, hazel or different coloured eyes you will be considered extremely beautiful. A good example is Aishwaya Rai. she is light skinned and has light coloured eyes so is considered to be b eautiful by the East and West but it really is a westernised type of beauty. Look at models like Imran who are truly beautiful because they have good features but in India she would not be considered beautiful. Beauty in India is truly just skin deep.
