Yes Precedent has been set in the 2002-2003 school year at both Thompson and Wredling. 7.7C was negotiated to stop the practice of not hiring subs when one of our people is out. That was the intent of the negotiations and intent is very important in negotiation. If a room is to have 2 support staff and one of them is out, that makes the room one person short. This was not devised to make anyone rich, just to see that subs are hired to replace sick support staff so no undue burden is inflicted on other members.
