Do long haired cats malt more than short haired ones?
All cats moult their fur it happens twice a year,long haired and short both the same,it just looks more obvious in a cat with longer fur it looks more,i had a long haired and short but of course the long haired was much more obvious for me to see, but if looking for a cat that sheds little then perhaps the Devon rex is more suitable,many people that are allergic to cats have them for that reason,they shed less fur but will lose a little,so mention this to your mum,and don’t forget to tell her you will vacuum up any lose pet hairs, it is more the thought of the work rather than the mess of hair,my mum asked me to clean up my cats fur i did and it was no bother,it was so worth it to have my beautiful cat around,best of luck with getting through to your mum.
