yes they can if you make it work you need trust as you are away from each other you just have to work at it a bit more than a relationship closer to home but without the trust it will most likely not last so if you don’t trust him talk to him about your fear and he might set you straight on the trust part that you think he is playing around ps i have a long distant relationship is is doing good so you have to have more trust than a relationship that you can check at anytime b ut it could turn into the best relationship you have ever had good luck
