Do live up to the image expected of a rock star?
DAVE: Yes, easily, without even having to try. I can’t help it. TOBIN: I don’t know about living up to it. I’m trying my best to get away from it. DAVE: We’re trying to be a bit healthier and positive with our lifestyles, and we’ll keep trying [laughs]. What about this emo craze. Do you think it’s making the rock scene a bit more fashionable? DAVE: It’s been better for my hair (both laugh). TOBIN: I think there’s gonna be a couple of good bands that come out of it. That’s what happens with every phase. DAVE: The thing with these trends is that they come and go. It’s when you have something real, something true that stands the test of time, that’s how you know it’s going to last. Look at it from that perspective. It’s, like, OK, come on, boys, give it your best shot and we’ll see what happens in about five years.’ What do you think of bands such as Fall Out Boy and My Chemical Romance? DAVE: I love My Chem.
