Do lipids contain nitrogen?

0

Generally, no. Simple lipids contain only carbon, hydrogen and oxygen. You do get more specialised lipids which contain other elements such as phosphorus-containing phospholipids. And there is a class of lipids called sphingolipids which contain nitrogen. But generally, no they don’t contain nitrogen.
