Do leopard geckos have a certain breeding time?
Typically they’ll breed all seasons bar winter (more or less… February – September) There is no definite way to tell their age, unless you know their actual hatching dates. Of course you can look at their length and bulk, patterns (bands fade to spots with age) and how long you’ve had them for. You shouldnt really attempt to breed the geckos until they are atleast a couple of years old, and weigh a certain amount – i think its 40g+ for females. …come to think of it, so you dont even risk premature breeding and possibly death, males and females shouldnt be housed together until they are in perfect breeding condition If they are breeding you will see the male stalk the female (like he would with crickets). He’ll bite her, usually on the tail and then move up her body with little nibbly bites until he gets a grip on her neck.
