Do lenders require the borrower to have an account with them before applying for a student loan?

0

No, you are not required to have an account with the lender that you choose, unless it is a credit union. You may choose any lender that participates in the student loan program. Please see the Financial Aid Office for a preferred lender list. The preferred lender list are lenders that Temple College uses often and have proven to be accurate, timely, and reliable, but the choice is up to the student as to what lender they choose.
