The members of fashionGroup RFID further explicitly profess to respect and protect personal rights; therefore, no personal data is gathered or stored through RFID technology. Europe sets global standards when it comes to protecting personal data. Without the individual’s agreement or legal permission, no personal data may be collected, processed or used. Further, the individual has the right to demand and delete gathered personal information. This right is already covered by EU- personal data protection guidelines in addition to the BDSG the field of use of RFID.
