Do landed immigrants enjoy the same privileges as Canadian citizens?
Landed immigrants are entitled to the same rights and privileges as Canadian citizens however, there are two exceptions: 1) they are not permitted to vote in Canadian elections and, 2) they must fulfill their residency obligations, specifically and most importantly, they must be physically present in Canada for 2 years over a period of 5 year period.
