Answer Koi may inadvertently eat small or sick goldfish or other fish but they aren’t big fish eaters. There have been a few cases when someone has reported that koi did eat smaller goldfish but it’s not that common. I would bet that the koi didn’t eat the goldfish. Hopefully, they’re just hiding. If not, then perhaps a predator was at the pond. Good luck!
