Do KIKO products contain Gluten?
Celiac disease is a permanent intolerance to gliadin, a natural substance contained in gluten, which is a group of proteins found in wheat, barley, rye, spelt, kamut wheat and in other less common cereals, and consequently in their flours. This makes all the foods derived from the aforementioned cereals, or which contain traces of gluten as a result of contamination, highly toxic for people who suffer from a serious form of Celiac disease. This allergic reaction is triggered by ingestion, which should not be confused with an allergy caused by contact. People who suffer from Celiac disease are usually well aware of the ingredients that may contain gluten, and therefore exclude them completely from their diet. It is believed that the risk of intolerance is limited to the foodstuff sector and is just about nonexistent in cosmetics. Indeed, it has not been proven that transdermal absorption (through application to the skin) of a cosmetic product containing traces of gluten can be harmful f
