Do JOYSTICKS require and equipment approval?
Would it be subject to DoC or Certified? As stated in Section 15.103(g), joystick controllers that do not contain digital circuitry are not subject to the technical standard or the equipment authorization requirements. They are exempt and subject only to the general operational requirements stated in15.5 and 15.29. If, however, digital circuitry is utilized, the applicable authorization procedure would be either DoC or Certification.
