For almost 10 years I have been using 4 48″ VHO’s on an Icecap ballast to light my LPS reef. <> When it was a 72G bowfront, it seemed to work well, other than the fact that the bulbs were expensive, needed to be replaced often, and couldn’t be purchased anywhere locally–I had to drive over an hour or pay big shipping costs. <> I moved up to a 150H (after a seam burst on my 72G), and the VHO’s are not getting the job done.
