Do insurance companies cover services by a NMD?
Yes. Many insurance carriers cover naturopathic medicine in the US and Canada. However, many companies and/or individual states restrict coverages. Some states, including Alaska, Connecticut, and Washington, require insurance companies to cover services by NMD’s. Additional states, including Arizona are beginning to cover naturopathic services. JTC strives to assist our students equal recognition by their appropriate state insurance companies.
