Do individuals who use Doppler equipment on their own stock need to attend a Defra approved course?
A. No. A different approach has been taken to minimise the burden on farmers who already own this equipment. Anyone using such equipment on their own stock are only required to obtain a letter, signed by their veterinary surgeon, stating that he/she is competent to use the Doppler equipment without injury to bovines.
