Do I still need to have a PIN for my Visa Debit Citicard?

Yes, you’ll still need to have an ATM Personal Identification Number (ATM PIN) to withdraw funds through ATMs (within Australia and Internationally) and at retail outlets via EFTPOS (within Australia only). However, when choosing to pay at point of sale at retail outlets using the ‘credit’ option, you’ll be required to provide a signature instead of a PIN. Please note: you’ll not be able to request a cash advance when selecting the ‘credit’ option at retail outlets. When you apply to be reissued with a Visa Debit Citicard, you’ll be reissued with a new ATM PIN for this card. Once you have activated your Visa Debit Citicard you’ll need to use your new ATM PIN to access your funds at ATMs and via EFTPOS. You should have an existing Telephone Personal Identification Number (TPIN) that you’ll need in order to activate your new Visa Debit Citicard. If you do not remember your TPIN you’ll need to contact CitiPhone Banking on 13 24 84 to be reissued with a new TPIN.
