Do I still need a licence to play pre-recorded music in my bar/business ?
Licences issued under the Licensing Act 2003 do not cover the permission to use copyright music in public under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988. A Performing Rights Society (PRS) licence represents the permission from every writer or composer whose music you intend to play as is required by law.
