Do i start having sex on the fifth day of taking clomid or wait five days after finishing the clomid?
I actually work at an ob/gyn office and I to am starting the clomid this Tuesday. Here is what we do at our office……you count from the day that you start your period…spotting or heavy….you start the clomid 5 days after the first day of your period and take it day 5,6,78,9. If it does cause you to ovulate you should ovulate around day 14. I would recommend that you try to astain from having sex after taking the clomid up until about day 12 or 13 and then I would have sex every other day for a few days…..you should ovulate on day 14 but if you have irregular periods then you might want to try the every other day method. Then what we do is on day 21 you go in and they draw blood for a 21 day progesterone test and that will tell you if you ovulated or not!!
