Do I really need to send in a complete demo with a legitament press kit?
Yes, you really need to if you expect to get any of attention around here. The label deals with an incredible amount incoming emails from individuals and groups asking me to visit their myspace or to listen to mp3’s online. There are so many reasons why I will not give you the time of day if you choose that route but I will narrow it down to this. Anybody can sit down and shoot an email with mp3 links selling me to check their band out and give me a pitch that they are hard working. For me to consider a band for the roster let alone brand as “hard working” is a group that has taken the time to assemble a legitimate demo with a “one sheet” describing the band’s resumes and stances. I can promise you this, if you send me a press kit you will be hearing from me. It might not be what you want to hear but i will honor your efforts with some closure to your curiosity on the matter.
